NEOM – derived from the Greek word neo (meaning “new”) and the Arabic word mostaqbal (meaning "future") – is one of the most visionary developments in the world, located in north-west Saudi Arabia.
With more than 3,600 employees from 97 different nationalities already living onsite, NEOM is more than a vision – it’s a living, breathing community designed to inspire and innovate at scale.
NEOM’s Public Safety and Health (PSH) division is setting new global standards for safety and security, deploying some of the world’s most advanced innovations. From the region’s first quantum computer to cutting-edge autonomous drones and seacraft, they are integrating real-time data with AI and Machine Learning to serve the NEOM community.
PSH set out to create an iconic campus in the heart of NEOM. The ambition was to create a future-focused facility that would not only serve as the operational base for public safety, but also as a global showcase for innovation in security, emergency response, and predictive safety technologies.
The new campus needed to bring together a range of specialist functions – including a high-tech command centre, innovation labs, experience zones, collaboration hubs, and dedicated workspaces for over 400 staff – while creating an inspiring, robot-friendly environment capable of hosting VIPs, dignitaries, and visiting international partners. Technology integration, climate resilience, cultural relevance, and a seamless visitor experience were all critical components of the brief.
360 Workplace defined the workplace strategy and concept design for the new campus, translating NEOM’s vision into a functional, future-focused environment. Working closely with key local stakeholders and digital transformation consultancy, Holistica, we ensured the design aligned with operational needs, user expectations, and NEOM’s environmental and digital goals.
Through strategic briefing and analysis, we engaged stakeholders to co-create a user-centred brief and align spatial planning with NEOM’s environmental, cultural, and digital objectives.
Our technology-led design approach delivered a robot-friendly, immersive environment with biometric access, AI integration, and signature spaces such as the Experience Centre and Innovation Lab.
We developed a functional and flexible workplace to support over 400 staff, blending modular work zones, themed collaboration hubs, and wellbeing-driven features.
The executive and secure spaces were designed for leadership, offering high-spec private offices, a boardroom, and secure meeting environments with smart access.
At the heart of the scheme, the central plaza and social integration strategy created an engaging hub for events, community, and cultural connection.
The outcome is a visionary campus that embodies NEOM’s global leadership in safety innovation, placing advanced technologies like quantum computing, AI, and robotics at the forefront in a human-centric setting. It offers a tech-enabled environment with the look and feel of a world-class headquarters, featuring clean architectural lines, intuitive digital interfaces, and immersive visitor experiences.
Designed to be both resilient and sustainable, the space aligns with LEED aspirations and sets a new standard for climate- and culture-responsive workplaces in Saudi Arabia. The campus is fully robot-ready, with built-in infrastructure to support autonomous systems, seamless access, and adaptive technologies. Ultimately, it delivers a bold architectural statement that enables operational excellence, fosters global partnerships, and reinforces NEOM’s international influence.
